After finishing a Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Media with an emphasis on Radio & Television in Louisiana in 2006, Kate Pierce studied Audio Engineering in California and received an additional Bachelor’s in Applied Science degree in Sound Arts. She graduated Cum Laude and achieved Operator License status in Post Production for Pro Tools in 2009.
She continued to play music and perform audio related work in the San Francisco Bay Area (and later in Oregon), until her ears would no longer allow. Most recently Kate has transitioned into being a fan and observer of the more technical aspects and artistic choices in sound creation, an advocate for music education, and is enthusiastic about teaching audio in an approachable manner.
Memories Made of Music has a focus first on fun, with pro audio sprinkled in. We have an interest in revisiting old memories of great albums that inspired us all, and encourage anyone to find themselves again and again through curiosity and music.
