As we round out our trio of processing lessons, here we have what perhaps is the most important processing lesson of all – Lesson 10, equalization and filters. To be fair, although that acoustic guitar may sound shiny and perfect to your performer, sometimes you’ve just gotta get those pesky little extra frequencies out of the way to clean it all up. In fact, all times for everything!
In this lesson you will learn the art of cleaning everything up to make room for other instruments, to avoid feedback, or just in general make the sound you’re capturing the most true and lovely interpretation it can be. Your instruments will be the best version of themselves once you know how to present them, and as always, we will give you a fully comprehensive list of settings to start off with so you can then choose to do some drastic damage to that sound, or lightly touch it for a more natural take on things.
