In Lesson 3 we will talk about the basic language of music by exploring some music theory.
It was created with an audio-focus in mind: To bridge the gap between the spoken and written language of music and the science of sound by relating notes back to their corresponding frequencies, as well as to explain directly how we (as in, we humans) created a system of labeling, and those assignments could have been whatever we decided to make them.
By taking this higher-level outside approach to music theory, you will find it can take out some of the dullness in just memorizing patterns by having an understanding of what the patterns are, as well as why they were created and what purpose they serve. You may not leave this lesson being able to shred modal scales on guitar (or hey who knows, right), but you will have the buildings blocks to be able to speak to any musician in the unique language of music. This is theory with an audio-style twist!
